Quick And Easy Cat Toys

Cats, cats and more cats! I am really crazy with these cute, adorable, crazy furrballs. Playing with a cat is as pleasurable as playing with a dog. Now the first reason why you have got a cat is that, you may have seen it at your grandma's. Yep that was my reason and also I really loved 'em a lot. You may have spent a lot of time picking the right toy for your cat. But these DIY cat toys are accepted by every cat and the best score is that you can make it without even spending a single dollar. This is a tutorial on making a wand toy- [ most liked toy by cats ], crumble toy and springy toy!

Cats are real hunters. All they love in their life is some love, pettings, sleep, eat, hunt and repeat!

Well, you can't blame them for hunting down a bird and dragging them around the house. They are born hunters. The interesting fact is that tigers share 95.6 % of their DNA with domestic cats! No wonder your pet hunts on birds and mice. Anyways, giving your cat some time hunting indoors without making any mess is enjoyable. And so, the wand toy is here for the help. As you might have seen a wand toy has got feathers and  a bell which are hanging from a stick or rod. Now, the main reason why a bell is kept on a wand toy is to take the cat's attention. Not all wand toys have bells, but I will suggest to use the ones with bells as the cats will use it everyday with pleasure. You can add a bell if you don't have one on your wand toy.

First stop, the wand toy!

WAND TOY

Extremely easy to make using just household items without losing a dollar.

I also like to make a wand toy as it seems really enjoyable making it. The wand toy has its wonderful, colorful feathers which makes the cat the feel to hunt it down!

YOU WILL NEED:

Chopstick

Yarns

Colored feathers [ felt one or real ]

Bell

Pom -Poms

HOW TO MAKE A WAND TOY

Take the chopstick and hot glue a yarn  to one end. You can also use a shoe lace. A shoe lace works better than a yarn and is durable.

Spin the yarn around the chopstick for a few times. This ensures that yarn is strong for the unpredictable strikes by the kitty!

Take the pom-poms, bell and feathers and attach them to the end of the yarn. Make sure that they are fasten up really nice and won't fall apart.
